Is a free youth-led music program for First Nations young people aged 16–21, created to empower the next generation of Aboriginal artists and storytellers through music.

Delivered by Music Tasmania and facilitated by Kiz alongside a team of industry mentors, participants will collaborate to write, record and release an original album while developing skills in songwriting, recording and creative expression.

More than just making music, Yarn Write is about connecting with culture, sharing stories and building community. Through one-on-one and collaborative sessions, professional recording opportunities, mentorship and cultural experiences on Country, participants will gain the confidence, connections and tools to continue their creative journey.

The program is designed to be flexible, with the timing and frequency of sessions organised directly between each participant and lead facilitator Kiz, allowing the program to work around school, work and other commitments.

Whether you've written songs before or are just starting out, Yarn Write is a space to learn, create and be part of something meaningful.
